Qatar has updated its travel policy for travelers from six Asian countries, including Sri Lanka.

For them, a two-day hotel quarantine and a subsequent negative PCR test are mandatory.

From today (02), tourists from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, who have been cured after infecting with the Covid-19 virus and have been fully vaccinated, will be placed under a two-day hotel quarantine, the Ministry of Health said.

If the result of a PCR test that detects the virus is negative, the passengers will be allowed to leave the quarantine.

Other tourists from these countries will have to quarantine their hotels for 10 days, the ministry said.

Last month, the Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that it would resume issuing entry visas to tourists and families.
