The National Building Research Organization says that 5 districts are at risk of landslides due to the rainy weather that has affected many parts of the island these days.
Accordingly, this risk has arisen in the districts of Badulla, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Ratnapura.
The National Disaster Management Center announces that there are risks of landslides, large rocks falling, trees falling and mounds falling,
- In Ella, Haputale, Haldummulla, and Hali Ela areas of Badulla district,
- In Udunuwara, Yatinuwara, Udapalatha areas of Kandy district,
- In Mawanella, Warakapola, Dehiowita, Galigamuwa, Kegalle areas of Kegalle district,
- In Mawathagama area of Kurunegala district,
- in Balangoda, Imbulpe, Ratnapura, Kalawana areas in of Ratnapura district.
