Apple has decided not to use the lightning charging port used for its iPhone charger for the latest iPhone model.
According to Apple, the latest iPhone model is designed to use a USB type-C charger.
Apple disclosed this during its annual new product announcement ceremony held yesterday (12). A decision made by the European Union has made it possible to use a USB type-C charger for the latest iPhone.
Accordingly, in the past, the European Union decided to use a common cable for all devices including mobile phones and digital cameras. They also pointed out that this will avoid the need for the people of the European Union to use different types of chargers.
It is also stated that since Apple company already uses USB type-C chargers for their laptop computers, their laptops were not affected.
