The National Institute of Education says that new educational reforms will be introduced in the school system from next term.
Its Director General Dr. Sunil Jayantha Navarathna stated that the pilot project will be implemented in 160 schools.
He also stated that under this, many clear changes will be made in the teaching methods and examination system of the school syllabus.
Dr. Sunil Jayantha Navarathna stated that the aim of the new reforms is to create a child who fits the world of work in the 21st century.
He also mentioned that under the new reforms, the method of measuring the child’s knowledge from the examination system only will be changed.
The director general said that the current education system does not create a practical child.
