    A donation of 27 essential medicines worth Rs. 4 million from Austria

    The Austrian government donates essential medicines worth Rs. 4 million to Sri Lanka.

    The Austrian Embassy in New Delhi has handed over these medicines to the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi.

    The High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi coordinates 94 foreign missions belonging to various countries that are not established in Sri Lanka, including Austria.

    This stock containing 27 types of essential medicines was handed over to Mr. Milinda Moragoda, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in India and will be delivered to Sri Lanka immediately.

    The Acting Ambassador of Austria, Mr. Mathayes Radostic, participated in the official delivery of this stock of medicines.

    This donation was made in response to the Sri Lankan government’s appeal to foreign countries to donate essential medicines for emergency treatment.

    High Commissioner Moragoda expressed his gratitude for the offer of friendship and goodwill made by the Austrian government.

    Deputy High Commissioner Niluka Kadurugamuwa, Minister Upul Pushpa Kumara and Councilor Pamoda Gunaratne participated in this event.
