According to the Tourism Development Authority, more than 17,000 tourists have visited the country in the first two weeks of this month.
Its Director General Mr. Dhammika Wijesinghe mentioned that currently more than 1,600 tourists are coming to Sri Lanka daily.
According to her, the arrival of tourists is increasing again after a long time.
The director general added that the arrival of daily tourists was at a very low level of 650 last May.
