Member of Parliament Gamini Waleboda says that an organized group is currently engaging in financial fraud involving the fraudulent transfer of money from savings and current accounts used for online transactions.
Revealing it yesterday in Parliament, he said that the fraud is being conducted by the students of an institution that trains in online transactions.
He warned that people doing online transactions through bank accounts may be vulnerable.
The MP also emphasizes that it should be reported to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission immediately.
According to a complaint made by a thero in the Balangoda area, this has been revealed. For about a week, many complaints have been received about this, MP Gamini Valeboda pointed out.
