Sri Lanka is ready to join the fastest growing aviation sector in the world, said State Minister of Aviation and Export Development says Mr. D.V. Chanaka.
Mattala International Airport already operates with 21 airlines.
The Minister said that three more companies have agreed to start flights to Mattala.
He was speaking at a ceremony to present certificates to students who have completed the Safety Management Course sponsored by Boeing, one of the world’s largest airlines.
Speaking further the Minister said that despite the disruption of air operations due to the Covid epidemic, the Mattala Airport has now become an efficient airport.
