The Department of Meteorology says that in the coming days (after May 08) an increase in rainfall is expected in many parts of the island.
The highest temperature has been recorded in Anuradhapura district in the last 24 hours from 8.30 am today. It is 39.1 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology said that more than 22 districts have been affected by hot weather tomorrow (07).
