Will oil prices go up? – Minister Gammanpila answers

Udaya Gammanpila, Minister of Energy says that despite the increase in oil prices in the world market, no decision has been taken to increase fuel prices.

He points out that the price of crude oil in the world market continues to rise.

The price of a barrel of crude oil is now approaching $ 100.

This was stated by the Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila while expressing his views to the media.

“We have seen a continuous rise in fuel prices in the world market since last December. The average price of a barrel of crude oil in December was $ 74. As of last Friday, the price of a barrel of crude oil had crossed $ 93. If we look at the figures for the last month, we lose Rs. 35 per liter of diesel and Rs. 7 per liter of petrol. But so far no decision has been taken to increase prices, ”he said.
