The government has decided to remove the Ministry of External Affairs from Colombo Fort and establish it on Vidya Mawatha, Colombo.
According to government sources, Mr. G. L. Peiris has submitted the report to the Cabinet to set aside a plot of land at the Industrial Technology Institute premises at Vidya Mawatha, Colombo and establish the Ministry of External Affairs there.
The proposal has been approved by the Cabinet and the Ministry of External Affairs will be established at Vidya Mawatha, Colombo in the near future.
