The new Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardena states that necessary steps will be taken to resolve the trade union action of teachers and principals based on salary anomalies through discussions.
He was speaking to the media after visiting the ‘Dharmayanaya’ on Bauddhaloka Mawatha and meeting Ven. Elle Gunawanga Thero after being appointed as the new Minister of Education.
“Our children are the future of our country. We will continue to work to deepen our understanding of it. When we take over the ministry through discussions, we will address the issue of teachers.” The Minister said.
