Former Minister and Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando, who appeared before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, has been released on two sureties of one million rupees each following an order issued by the Court of Appeal.
Magistrate Thilina Gamage has also ordered to produce Johnston’s passport to the court.
Earlier, the former minister had surrendered to the Magistrate following a court order to surrender to him before 8 pm.
