Former Minister Johnston Fernando is currently at the official residence of the Colombo Chief Magistrate.
According to the order issued by the Court of Appeal, he was ordered to appear before the court and surrender before 8.00 pm tonight.
The order was made during a hearing today on a petition seeking an injunction restraining him from being arrested in connection with the attack on the Galle Face protesters.
