The profile of the suspects arrested in connection with the attack on Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon at Slave Island Perahera Mawatha has been revealed.
Two of them are residents of Anuradhapura and one is a resident of Dematagoda.
One of the residents of Anuradhapura is studying at a higher education institution in Malabe. The other person is employed in a private security firm, police said.
The third, the resident of Dematagoda, works as a courier delivery person.
When questioned, they had stated that they had nothing to do with the attack and had come to see the vehicles that had been dumped in the Beira Lake.
A senior police officer stated that the video footage of the attack is being examined and that the perpetrators are being identified.
