The Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage says that the Paddy Marketing Board has so far purchased about 5 million kilograms of paddy from the Maha season.
The Paddy Marketing Board buys Nadu paddy at Rs. 90 per kilo and Samba paddy at Rs. 92 per kilo, the Minister said.
Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage further stated that Nadu Samba paddy is purchased at Rs. 95 per kilo.
