Vegetable prices have come down in many economic centers islandwide compared to last week.
When inquired about the prices of vegetables available in the market, the traders of the Dambulla Economic Center said that the prices of vegetables have gone down.
With the Beetroot harvested in Jaffna Peninsula arriving at Dambulla Economic Center, the price of a kilo of beetroot has dropped by about Rs. 100.
However, the prices of vegetables at the Keppetpola Special Economic Zone, the main economic center that distributes vegetables in the upcountry, have gone up.
