The government says that a revised budget will be presented next month. That will be effective for the next few months.
Cabinet Media Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the budgets of the ministries have been revised and the required processes have been completed.
He also said that because all-party unity is essential to solve the country’s economic crisis, discussions are ongoing in this regard.
It is also stated that necessary amendments will be submitted for any changes in the media sector.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe has informed that in order to keep the parliament strong, the ministers in charge of the subject should provide answers to the questions of the members of the parliament.
The minister also said that the political and socio-economic crises of the country were discussed at length in the cabinet.
An advisory committee has been appointed to ensure the continuous supply of fuel and gas queues will end by the end of this month.
He also said that 40 lakh people have already registered for the fuel pass program of providing fuel by QR code system.
