Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has said that the present government is pickpocketing even at this catastrophic moment.
He also said that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, together with the common people, will launch a struggle to put an end to the rule that has become a malison to the country and to create a pro-people people’s government in this country.
The Leader of the Opposition made this statement today (10) while participating in a massive protest against the government organized by the Kaduwela electorate organizer of the Samagi Jana Balawega, Hirunika Premachandra.
The Leader of the Opposition said that under the present government, Sri Lanka’s geopolitics has become a gambling ground for powerful countries. He also said that the government, which was vociferous about national security at the time, would not give a damn about this.
The Leader of the Opposition also said that the doors of the Samagi Jana Balawega would be open to all those who could dedicate themselves to the people, be sensitive to the grievances of the people and have a sincere desire to build the country.
The Leader of the Opposition said that in the last Presidential election he had asked the country to vote for him to create a country ruled by humanity and sentimentality, but many people voted for empty heroism then and today the whole country has to experience the consequences.
The Leader of the Opposition said that what the country needs today is humanity and a sensitive government, adding that the Samagi Jana Balawewa is committed to serving the country instead of politics.
