The number of daily Covid infections in the country is increasing rapidly and 1815 infected people were found yesterday (23) alone.
The Ministry of Health has announced that the highest number of Covid infections reported yesterday was from the Gampaha district with 438.
Then there were 364 in Colombo, 119 in Kalutara and 138 in Ratnapura yesterday alone.
The Western Province has seen a sharp increase in the number of Kovid infections, while other districts reported less than 100 yesterday.
However, the total number of Covid infections reported in the country has increased to 280743.
