General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), was a distinguished guest speaker at the ’10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum,’ a prestigious military platform co-hosted by the China Association of Military Science and the China Institute of International Strategic Studies. The theme of this year’s forum was “Common Security, Lasting Peace.” General Silva’s insightful address focused on the vital role of developing countries in global security and the unique challenges they face in the modern world.
