The three players who were accused of violating the bio-bubble restrictions and disciplinary rules while on a cricket tour in England have been placed under quarantine after arriving at the Katunayake airport this afternoon (29).
They will be sent to a hotel in Negombo for a 14-day compulsory quarantine, Sri Lanka Cricket said.
Sri Lanka Cricket vice-captain Kusal Mendis, opener Danushka Goonetileke and wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella are the 3 players that have returned to the island today.
They arrived at the Katunayake Airport at 1.15 pm on a SriLankan Airlines flight UL-504 from London, England.
Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to impose a temporary ban on the three players and recall them immediately.
