Disclosure about the country’s fuel situation

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says that the country’s fuel reserves, which were poor, have now reached a stable level.

Fuel reserves have been strong since last February.

The corporation claims that there are enough fuel reserves to meet the basic needs of the country.

According to the data of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, as of today, 83,236 metric tons of auto diesel, 9955 metric tons of super diesel, 20,640 metric tons of octane 92 petrol and 18,354 metric tons of octane 95 petrol are available as reserves.

Also, 10,022 metric tons of aviation fuel are in the country’s reserves as of today.

The Petroleum Corporation also stated that orders had been placed for several more aircraft fuel ships.

The process of maintaining strong fuel reserves was hindered by releasing the entire amount of fuel purchased in the country during the crisis period.

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation further states that after the implementation of the QR system, the fuel supply network has been subject to proper management due to the release of fuel following certain restrictions.

For continuous fuel purchases, the corporation also says that now there is no need to refer to the way it was done earlier.

Accordingly, the corporation further stated that future purchases would be made through specific periodic steps.
