The Excise Department has decided to seal all liquor outlets in the country during the period when the travel restrictions are imposed to control the spread of covid 19 virus.
A senior official of the Excise Department stated that the reason for this is the information received that some liquor owners are selling liquor secretly.
All liquor stores in the island will be sealed until the 7th of this month, he said.
He further stated that the seals will be affixed by the officers working in the offices of the Excise Department island-wide.
