Police Media Spokesman Deputy Attorney General Ajith Rohana stated that 1074 persons were arrested for violating the quarantine rules within the last 24 hours at 6.00 am today (01).
This is the highest number of people arrested by the police so far due to the covid pandemic.
So far 19,102 people have been arrested for violating the quarantine law.
