The Ministry of Health is confident that the shortage of medicines in hospitals will be eliminated within the next six weeks.
Minister Keheliya Rambukwella stated that the required funds have been received to import the drugs.
He stated that there are 14 essential medicines available in sufficient quantities at present.
However, the Minister points out that there is a shortage of another 186 types of drugs.
Minister Keheliya Rambukwella further stated that these drugs will also be imported soon.
