The Meteorological Department warns fishermen in the Bay of Bengal and South Andaman seas to come ashore immediately or to a safe place.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red notice to the fishing and naval community urging them not to sail in the Eastern seas until further notice.
A low pressure area is developing in the South Andaman Sea and its environs.
Over the next few hours, the low pressure area will move northwestward, developing into a depression in the Bay of Bengal and extending from Bengal through the East-Central Bay to a cyclone. Therefore the fishing and naval community is advised to be vigilant in this regard.
