The 55th National Aluth Sahal Festival will be held under the patronage of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on April 03 at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.
The National Aluth Sahal Festival is organized by the State Ministry of Agriculture and the Department of Agrarian Development.
Accordingly, the collection of rice for the 55th National Aluth Sahal Festival commenced this morning (18) in Polonnaruwa and Nuwara Eliya districts.
From today, farmers all over the country will have the opportunity to donate their harvested paddy this season and offer them to the Jayasree Maha Bosamidun in Anuradhapura at the nearest Agrarian Service Centers.
The rice collection which commenced today will continue till the 28th at the Agrarian Service Centers island-wide.
