Former Prime Minister and UNP MP Ranil Wickremesinghe today denied allegations that the Hambantota port was sold to China.
He told parliament that the Hambantota port had been handed over to a Chinese company to manage for 70 years.
Mr. Wickremasinghe said the agreement could be reversed at any time.
The former Prime Minister was responding to a question raised by Samagi Jana Balawega MP Tissa Attanayake.
