The vaccination program will be implemented in selected schools covering all the Medical Officer of Health divisions in the country, she said.
Ms. Chitramali de Silva said that the expert committee has decided to give only one dose of the Pfizer vaccine to children between the ages of 18 and 19 who have sat and are scheduled to sit for the GCE Advanced Level examination.
If the child is in a remote area of the school, the child can go to the office of the Medical Officer of Health in the area where he or she resides, the specialist said.
