Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has said that the government, which boasted that they have a mighty brainy person that can work miracles in the economy, is now oppressing the people like never before.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the government has no plans to uplift the lives of the people.
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said this while addressing the ‘Palakayin Hithumathe – Janathawa Hamathe’ rally in Kesbewa today.
He also said that the government is oppressing the people day by day.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the government has a responsibility to protect all rights including civil rights, economic rights, political rights and cultural rights. Instead, he said, the people today are suffering from uneasiness.
The protest was organized by party activists including Gayan de Mel, the chief organizer of the Kesbewa Samagi Jana Balawega.
