SSP Nihal Thalduwa has been appointed as the new Police Media Spokesman. He was appointed as the Director of the Police Division last March.
He has joined the Police Service as a Sub Inspector and is an experienced officer who has served in many parts of the country.
He has served as the Director of the Anti-Terrorism and Investigation Division, the Director of the Crime Division of the Police Headquarters and the Director of the Western Provincial Intelligence Division and has also served as the Chief of Police in charge of the Elpitiya and Jaffna Police Divisions.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Postgraduate Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is an alumnus of Richmond College, Galle.
