Minister of State Prof. Channa Jayasumana says that 2 million doses of Sinopharm Covid vaccine will arrive in the country tomorrow (22).
Out of the total number of vaccines received tomorrow, 400,000 doses will be distributed to the Kurunegala District and 275,000 doses will be distributed to the Galle District.
Also, 200,000 doses of vaccine will be sent to each Matara, Badulla and Ratnapura districts.
One hundred thousand doses will be distributed to each Puttalam, Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya, Moneragala, Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
Prof. Channa Jayasumana further stated that 125,000 doses are planned to be given to the Hambantota district.
Accordingly, the total number of Sinopharm vaccines brought to Sri Lanka so far is around 91 lakhs, said Channa Jayasumana.
