    Here are the MPs who did not come to Parliament to vote for the no-confidence motion

    It is reported that 9 members of the Government and the Opposition were not present in Parliament today during the vote of no confidence against the Minister of Power and Energy Udaya Gammanpila.

    None of them were present in Parliament today.

    Accordingly, three members of the ruling Sri Lanka People’s Front and six members of the Opposition did not participate.

    Sri Lanka People’s Front MPs Chamal Rajapaksa, Wijayadasa Rajapaksa and Udayakantha Goonetileke were not present and MP Dinesh Gunawardena has stated that they were not present in Parliament today as they have been ill for the past few days.

    Three Muslim MPs from the Eastern Province did not participate in the no-confidence motion today and had earlier voted in favor of the ruling party in the constitutional amendment.

    Rishad Bathiudeen, who was recently hospitalized due to a sudden illness while in the custody of the CID, Harin Fernando who is out of the country and Velu Kumar who is in the hospital also did not participate in the election today.
