National Water Supply and Water Transport Board informs that next Wednesday (24th) from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm water supply will be suspended at Biyagama water treatment plant for 12 hours.
It was due to an emergency repair of the Sapugaskanda substation.
Accordingly, water supply will be suspended to Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ala, Katunayake/Seeduwa Municipal Council area, Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Katana, Minuwangoda Divisional Council area and part of Gampaha Divisional Council area.
Due to that, the agency further requests the people to consume water very sparingly.
