Former Deputy Minister Palitha Thevarapperuma, who was a politician of the United National Party, passed away today (16) afternoon, the relatives of the family have said.
He was 64 years old when he died.
His body has been deposited at the Kalutara Teaching Hospital.
It is reported that he died after being admitted to Kalutara Nagoda Hospital due to electrocution in a land belonging to him in the Mathugama area.
