    Good News for Muslim Public Employees

    The Ministry of Public Administration has instructed government institutions to arrange the work schedule so that Muslim public employees can perform religious rituals during the upcoming Ramadan season.

    It is reported that the relevant notification has been issued by issuing a circular to the Ministry Secretaries, Provincial Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, State Corporations and Statutory Boards.

    This year’s Ramadan season is scheduled to be held from March 12 to April 11.

    Therefore, it is stated in the relevant circular that the working hours should be arranged so that the Muslim public employees can perform religious rituals during that period.

    In the circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, it is stated that special leave should be approved only in unavoidable cases.

    The Ministry of Public Administration has further informed that 14 days before the end of Ramadan, the eligible Muslim officials of public corporations and statutory boards of the public service will be given festival advance.
