The proposal to remove the corrupt officials including the chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket was passed unanimously in Parliament today.
That is without polling.
The Leader of the House announced that the proposal brought by the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa and seconded by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Mr. Nimal Siripala did not require a vote and it had already been passed.
However, the National People’s Power MPs did not participate in this event.
Accordingly, the proposal to remove the Sri Lanka Cricket Board including the Chairman was passed unanimously today.
