A police sergeant who was assigned to guard the Esala Mela festival of Kantale Madhya Maha Vidyalaya has died in an accident caused by the collapse of a part of ‘Maraka Linda’.
The officer named Sergeant J.M.J. Suranjeeva, attached to the Kantale Police Station (46), has died as follows.
This accident happened yesterday. This officer was rushed to Kantale Hospital, but he was already dead when he was admitted to the hospital.
