Mrs. Julie Chung, the American Ambassador to Sri Lanka, has gone diving in the Trincomalee Sea with Sri Lanka’s first female naval diver.
That was when she visited the diving headquarters of the Trincomalee Naval Base.
The ambassador said that the US Navy and the Sri Lanka Navy will continue to maintain that cooperation, divemaster, by inheriting the long history of diving partnership.
The Ambassador also expressed her gratitude to the Navy for the opportunity to explore the beautiful seabed of the sea off the coast of Trincomalee.
“Thank you to the Chief of Navy and Sri Lanka’s first female naval diver for joining us for the underwater dive! Congratulations to these brave women who are reaching new depths in and out of the water, advancing representation at all levels of leadership.” The ambassador said.
