A soldier attached to Thirumurukandi army camp committed suicide by shooting himself with a T-56 gun.
Idunil Ekanayake, a 24-year-old resident of Mahawa Ullalapola, committed suicide.
The Mankulam Police stated that this soldier shot himself in the camp yesterday morning (06) with the duty firearm issued to him.
No specific reason has been revealed for these soldiers to commit suicide.
