The Colombo Crime Division states that the police seized the cab in which the two men who came to kill the businessman who was a suspect in the murder of Lt. Col. Tuan Mutalif in Borella.
Meanwhile, four people who allegedly aided and abetted the businessman’s murder have now been taken into police custody.
It has been revealed that the two shooters who killed the businessman were taken to the Borella crossroad in this cab.
The police also say that they got off the cab at the Borella crossing and from there they came to Leslie Ranagala Mawatha on a motorcycle along the Baseline road and committed this crime.
The police have revealed that the owner of this cab is a major attached to the Ambepussa army base and that he had given the cab to a transport facility provider on a rental basis.
A businessman residing in Kelaniya Vihara Maha Devi Mawatha was killed yesterday by an unknown gunman.
He is also said to be a suspect in the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Tuan Mutalif.
