The Council of Ministers agrees to take the next steps regarding the restructuring of State-owned enterprises.
For that purpose, the proposals submitted by the President as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy have been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday.
In the Cabinet meeting held on 09.05.2022, approval was given to establish the State-owned Enterprise Restructuring Unit under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy to provide necessary guidance and support in the restructuring of State-owned enterprises.
Accordingly, improving the quality, price and accessibility of goods and services provided by public enterprises will be done to eliminate the financial impact on the treasury by those enterprises.
Also, the State Enterprise Restructuring Policy has been prepared with the aim of creating a competitive and market-based business environment to attract private investment.
The President has suggested to the Council of Ministers to take further steps based on that policy.
