Inspector General of Police CD Wickramaratne has issued a service dismissal order against Middeniya OIC Prasad Chandana Nishantha.
This order of service dismissal has been issued due to Mr. Prasad Chandana Nishantha’s departure to England; who went to the Attorney General’s office on January 22 to sign an affidavit in relation to the case M/U/B 72422/2022 of Valasmulla High Court.
This officer was supposed to report back to work on January 24, but due to his absence, the investigation revealed that he had left the country at Bandaranaike International Airport on the 24th at 3:00 p.m. The Immigration Controller has also confirmed this.
This officer, a father of two, is a resident of Galaha area. Investigations have revealed that this officer went to England with the help of a woman. Police say that this officer has not even told his wife or children that he is leaving the country. Investigations have also revealed that he returned home the previous day in official uniform and left after engaging in a conversation with his children and wife.
Accordingly, the Inspector General of Police has taken steps to issue the order to leave the service against this OIC.
