The Central Bank of Sri Lanka states that if further relief is required for bank loans and leasing due to the covid-19 epidemic, written requests should be made to the relevant banks.

Letters requesting concessions should be submitted before the 21st of this month for loans and leasings taken from commercial/financial banks and and before July 15 for loans and leasings taken from non-bank finance companies.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has instructed banks and financial institutions to reach an agreement with the borrowers.

If there are any issues regarding this, the public can contact the Department of Financial Consumer Relations of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka at 0112477966 for details.
