The driver who ran away to Dubai after causing a fatal accident in Kollupitiya was taken into custody by the immigration officers and handed over to the police when he returned to the country from Dubai last night.
Accordingly, he was arrested and questioned by the traffic department of Kollupitiya Police and his statements were recorded. The 26-year-old suspect is a resident of Wellampitiya.
