24 companies from 10 countries have submitted proposals to engage in the petroleum business in Sri Lanka.
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that companies in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States, China, India, Russia, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Norway and the Philippines have submitted such proposals.
The minister also emphasized that the process of considering the proposals submitted by those countries to engage in the petroleum business in Sri Lanka will be completed in 6 weeks.
