A special meeting of the parliamentary group of the ruling party is scheduled to be held tomorrow (28) at 5.00 pm at the President’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe.
The report also states that there will be a lengthy discussion about the interim budget that will be presented to the parliament tomorrow (30), as well as about the budget referendum and the proposed all-party government.
Meanwhile, a group of former state ministers representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna have requested the president to appoint state ministers as soon as possible if the formation of an all-party government is delayed.
It was during a recent meeting between President Ranil Wickramasinghe and a group of former government ministers representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
Political sources also state that this matter is to be discussed in the discussion held tomorrow.
