A chef and employee of a Colombo hotel who worked on the birthday party held for beautician Chandimal Jayasinghe in violation of quarantine rules have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
21 people who attended the birthday party were arrested and 15 were released on bail and sent to detention.
Madhavi Anthony, her husband, Chandimal’s mother and cousin, who were arrested today, have been released on bail after being produced in court.
Police say that further action will be taken against the suspects under the quarantine rules.
