In a letter to the President, Mahanayake Theroru has said that if the executive and the legislature fail to create political stability in the country and reduce the cost of living, then handing over the governance of the state to a group of scholars who have the ability to do so without aggravating the people’s suffering will be a reason for everyone’s praise.
They have emphasized that otherwise, the public will work to reject all politicians who try to implement party political agendas insensitively towards the people who are helpless in the face of the economic crisis.
Therefore, the social and economic crises that have arisen should be resolved quickly and immediate action should be taken to secure people’s lives. The letter given to the president with a proposal is shown below.
